exchange :)

hello world
where do i begin?
i have grown up in a little town called baxter in tennesse(USA)and i have always loved traveling. i have never left the states, but i soon plan on venturing out of country with ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE, well whenever i said soon i mean 2012-2013, and if i get accepted. =^.^=
i found out about rotary through two of my friends that are doing it.. after asking them 9999999 questions, literally, i talked to someone that is on the board for our local rotary! we set up a meeting in january at poets (an amazing coffee shop in cookeville, the town next to me,STARBUCKS HAS NOTHING ON THEM!) and my mother asked him everything she wanted to know about exchange, and i did as well. my mother and i also went to a rotary meeting and listened to a girl speak that is in my district from switzerland. she did awesome, and it was so interesting! speaking of my mother... everyone doesn't understand how or why parents are so sketchy about exchange.
here is why from my point of view:
1. sending your children out of country by themselves to live with someone you don't personally know is dangerous.
2. maturity level.
3. HOW YOU ACT AT HOME if you are rude and disrespectful to your parents that have raised you your entire life...your parents have a good idea of how you will act with a host family.

so, back on subject! i live in the ohio-erie multi district (it covers michigan, ohio, kentucky, west virginia, tennessee and north carolina and ontario canada)! my specific district is 6780.

here is the 2011-2012 country choices for my district, the 2012-2013 will be similar maybe a few more countries added on actually and the number beside them is how many people from the whole ohio-erie multi district get to go to that specific country.
